Advanced Computer Technology

Our office is fully equipped with a fully networked dental management system incorporating all aspects of computerized record keeping and accounting. This allows almost instantaneous production of accounts for your convenience as well as efficient storage of your dental information. We are also able to produce detailed treatment information for you to take home.

Dental Image Storage

Our system allows us to record photographic images on the computer. This allows you to see exactly what we can see in order to understand any issues arising from examination.
We can also produce before and after images if needed or requested.

No Drill Dentistry

The art and science of dentistry has changed, now offering a no needle, no drill, no fear procedure for removing decay. This technique is called Air Abrasion. Since Air Abrasion is achieved by directing a thin stream of abrasion powder at the area of the tooth decay, it removes only minimal sections of the tooth - only the decayed area.

Air Abrasion allows for very small cavity preparations and is part of what is called Micro Dentistry and is a quick, easy and painless way to remove decay. Most times this can be done without the need for anaesthetic.

Advanced Materials and Techniques

At S.S.D.C there is no compromise in the search for the best possible materials and techniques for your treatment. Our policy is to keep our knowledge to the forefront in this area. So far this year members of our team have visited conferences on Cosmetic Dentistry, Endodontics, Cosmetics and Current Materials, Implants and Communication.

Dr Rogers and Dr Lin ensure that their technique knowledge is up to the minute by regularly attending professional development and post graduate education courses.

Modern Sterilization

The most advanced systems are used routinely in day to day treatments including ultrasonic cleaning, two computerized steam atuoclaves, comprehensive plastic barrier coverage, gloves, masks and eye protection. We have also recently rebuilt our sterilization room to help us deliver the highest quality for our patients.

Lasers

Diagnostic laser is used in our office to provide early detection of dental decay. This is a huge advantage in the treatment of children and young adults and often allows the use of advanced "no drill" dentistry.

Bleaching and Whitening with 'Beyond'

Beyond Whitening Accelerator is our preferred choice for quickly and effectively brightening healthy smiles. Beyond uses high-intensity blue light, filtered through over 12,000 fibres and 30 layers of coated optical glass to remove infrared and ultraviolet light. Used together with special whitening formula, the half-hour procedure rapidly oxidizes 16 or more teeth, restoring them to a beautfiful white. It scores a 5 to 14 level of shade improvement on the Vita shade guide.

Your Beyond Whitening Accelerator smile should last for around 2 years and in most cases there are abolsutley no side effects.

Invisalign Orthodontics

Invisalign is the invisible, removeable and comfortable way to straighten your teeth without braces. Invisalign uses a series of clear, plastic, removeable 'Aligners' that gently move teeth to the desired positions and let you get on with life.
